Engineering firm Contour Engineering, LLC, recently announced the expansion of its services to Tacoma. Its new office will be located at the corner of Fawcett Avenue and South 11th Street.
Since the company’s founding in 2006 by principal and project engineer Brett Allen, the consulting firm has specialized in comprehensive land development across the state, a release said.
The firm’s expansion into the Tacoma office was driven by increasing demand and the need for additional space, reflecting the ongoing success of partners Allen, Jeremy Haug, Steve Woods, and Mike Goularte and the strong relationships they have built with clients throughout Washington, the release continued.
"We’re thrilled to expand our presence in Tacoma," said Allen in the release. "This move not only allows us to accommodate our growing team but also provides easier access for our clients and partners. The new location will improve our ability to respond quickly to projects across the state, particularly in Tacoma and Gig Harbor, where we’ve seen significant growth."
Contour plans to renovate the office to include a more open and collaborative workspace while also increasing energy efficiency. The office will also transition from cubicles to shared working spaces.
While Contour’s goal of expanding into Tacoma has been met, the company plans to maintain its current Gig Harbor location and expects up to 40% of its portfolio to continue focusing on the Kitsap Peninsula, according to the release.
The new Tacoma location will serve Contour’s long-term goals of growing staff and supporting new partnerships.
"We’ve outgrown our Gig Harbor location," said partner and professional land surveyor Woods. "Our Tacoma office offers ample opportunities to support our expansion goals by attracting quality applicants, especially engineers and surveyors, and enhance our ability to develop new partnerships and broaden our portfolio."
Additionally, with more clients requesting in-person meetings, Contour said it hopes the Tacoma office will be able to offer a more personalized experience.
